Declaration on the duty to provide information (privacy policy)
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.
Contact
If you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for twelve months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of the GDPR.

After submitting the contact form, the data provided will be processed by the data controller, VIU Apartments, Weitmoserstraße 50, 5630 Bad Hofgastein,
book@good-viu.at, for the purpose of processing your enquiry on the basis of your consent given by submitting the form. The data will be further processed for the purpose of direct marketing, which is compatible with the original purpose of processing, on the same legal basis unless you object. There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide personal data. Failure to provide such data will simply mean that you cannot submit your request and we cannot process it. The data will not be passed on to other recipients. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by written notification, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent until withdrawal. You have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time by written notification. In the event of an objection, your personal data will no longer be processed for direct marketing purposes. You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and transferability of your personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Austrian Data Protection Authority, Hohenstaufengasse 3, 1010 Vienna,

Cookies
When you visit this website, information (‘cookies’) is stored on your computer, which allows the website to recognise you on subsequent visits. This allows the website to be optimally adapted to your interests. If you do not agree to the storage of cookies on your computer, please deactivate the use of cookies in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We have concluded a corresponding contract with the provider for order data processing. The relationship with the web analysis provider is based on Adequacy Decision C(2016) 4176 of the European Commission (EU-USA: ‘Privacy Shield’). Google Analytics uses such target-oriented cookies. For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google's privacy policy:

You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

IP anonymisation
We use the ‘Activate IP anonymisation’ function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The relationship with the web analytics provider is based on the adequacy decision C(2016) 4176 of the European Commission (EU-US: ‘Privacy Shield’). Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. As the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymised.
Google Adwords
We also use the Google advertising tool ‘Google Adwords’ to promote our website. As part of this, we use the ‘Conversion Tracking’ analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’, on our website. If you have accessed our website via a Google ad, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These so-called ‘conversion cookies’ expire after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and have been redirected to our site. Google uses the information collected with the help of ‘conversion cookies’ to compile visit statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and which pages of our website were subsequently visited by the respective user. However, we and other advertisers using Google AdWords do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. You can prevent the installation of conversion cookies by adjusting your browser settings, for example by disabling the automatic setting of cookies in general or specifically blocking cookies from the domain ‘
googleadservices.com’. Google's privacy policy on this matter can be found at the following link:

Facebook Pixel
This website uses Facebook Pixel, a web analytics service provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (‘Facebook’) on the legal basis of overriding legitimate interest (analysis of website usage). We have concluded a contract with Facebook for commissioned data processing. Some of the data is transferred to the USA. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the Privacy Shield. When you visit our website, software establishes a connection to Facebook's servers and transmits data to Facebook servers located in the USA. Facebook Pixel also uses cookies to store information about website users and to analyse their use of the website. According to Facebook, Facebook will use the collected data to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Facebook may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Facebook. Detailed information on how Facebook handles user data can be found at:
https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. If you are registered with Facebook, you can manage your advertising settings yourself at
